the issue
A runway is exposed to strong vibrations on a daily basis, causing the screw connections of the taxiway lights fixed to the ground to loosen after some time. As a result, all screws have to be retightened several times a year. At present, the screws on the kilometer-long runway are tightened manually. These screw connections require multiple and time-consuming checks.

our vision
Our aim is to develop a vehicle that will approach the lamps sunk into the ground at the airport, automatically detect the bolts and tighten them with a specified torque. In addition, the system will log the torque of the screw connection so that faulty connections can be detected early on, thus ensuring their safety and reliability.
